Exercise & Training
Key to any healthy lifestyle is the incorporation of exercise into your weekly routine.
For adults (19-64 ) to stay healthy, the NHS recommends to be active daily and do at least one of the following per week:
- At least 2 1/2 hours of moderate intensity aerobic activity (cycling or fast-walking) and resistance (muscle strengthening exercises) on at least 2 days to work all the major muscle groups
- Vigorous aerobic activity (running or a game of tennis) for at least 1 1/4 hours and resistance training on a least 2 days
- A mix of moderate intensity activity and vigorous aerobic training (for example 2 30 minute runs and 1 30 minute fast walk) with at least 2 days with resistance training sessions
If you have any health concerns before undertaking a new fitness regime you should seek consultation with a medical or fitness professional.
