World Sleep Day

Press snooze

Personal Touch Fitness are celebrating World Sleep Day today and a call to action about the importance of healthy sleep and the impact this has on your wellbeing. This year’s campaign theme is ‘Healthy Sleep, Healthy Ageing’.

We spend up to 1/3 of our lives sleeping, it is a basic human need. Good sleep practice is as essential to our overall health and wellbeing as nutrition and exercise and ‘quality’ sleep is crucial.

Poor sleep or lack of sleep costs – it impacts on productivity and can increase the risk of health problems such as obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease and strokes as well as psychological conditions such as depression and anxiety.

Recharge with our sleep & meditation Yoga Nidra workshops

These ‘sleepless sleep’ classes offer deep relaxation, stress reduction, improved wellbeing and increased productivity. Research shows that 30min of Yoga Nidra is the equivalent of 3-4 hours of unconscious sleep.
