Happy New Year!

A new year, new you. A resolution or two made with good intentions to achieve. I ask you to reflect on years past and ask yourself if you achieved or have forgotten resolutions a month or so into the year? If you answered yes to the latter, have you tried a different approach? A simple approach you can recite in your head and be mindful while you do it.

Think – new beginnings, small steps forward on your journey. Set yourself time frames to keep on track and enable you to regularly review your progress. Track your progress in a diary or tool which suits your lifestyle. When reviewing take stock as to what is working and what isn’t so you can proactively address and change. Ensure you fully understand the trigger taking you down a different road, acknowledge it and get back on the correct road. Seek advice/help if you recognise you can’t do it on your own. This is ok. It is accepting and admitting to continue your new beginning.

Constantly think about the two easy statements above by repeating in your head. Mental health is important and we need to ensure change occurs and be mindful along the journey.

After all, New Year is the beginning of a new calendar year – new beginnings. We begin again. Be Positive, healthy, laugh, have fun and most of being mindful of everything we do.
